2/2 Shedu Commisions for the7eventhrider as payment for Falx Ab Occasu
Starring The Hounding of Belleau Wood and The Miracle at the Marne - two lovely Shedu Cats owned by the7eventhrider
Devil Dog had convinced Marni to go for a walk for him, and the energetic young cats bounded off into the bayou together. They lept through the mud, splashing it all over each other, until the croaking of bullfrogs caught the brown cat's attention. He slowed to a walk, and signaled Marni to follow him. They crept towards the nearest source of the croaking, an area of the swamp where a stream ran though. Devil led the way, towards a big frog that was sitting near the stream bank, facing away from them. He dropped to a crouch and slowly crept closer. Marni sat behind him, not wanting to interfere with her companion's hunt. Twitching his tail with excitement, Devil was able to get about two feet from the frog before it stopped croaking - a sign that it knew danger was near. Devil knew this would be his only chance to catch it, so he lept forward...
Having heard the squish of mud as the big cat lept, the frog lept at the exact same moment; but the Shedu's long, dark legs were plenty long enough to grab it. However, in his over-excited leap forward and awkward catch of the frog, Devil Dog forgot about landing. He was completely off-balance, and landed on his side in the stream. It wasn't too deep, so he was able to get his killing bite on the frog while still laying on his side in the stream. Holding the swamp creature in his jaws, he stood up and shook himself off as he walked out of the water. Marni was giggling as Devil spat the frog out at her feet, and she licked his head in an effort to help dry him, but Devil didn't mind the water and mud. He shook himself again and picked the frog back up, and proudly, he carried his catch back to the Swampwater Cathouse.
Hope you don't mind that I wrote a bit of a story for them too, I've been in a writing mood recently XD
